Renewed Health

The Secret to Lasting Health Restoration is in the Power of Mind Transformation

The Secret to Lasting Health Restoration is in the Power of Mind Transformation
As the year comes to an end, many begin thinking about making healthier choices in the new year, but statistics show that most people give up on their goals by the end of February. One reason is that they didn’t change their thoughts about health; they only knew they needed to improve it.

Failure comes when we fail to get the goal from the head to the heart. In my health journey experience, my goals began with the purpose of relief from pain and the ability to function as a normal person. During the stillness of healing and more time in scripture, my health goals changed to a renewed mind, anchored in God’s truth, which has increased my long-term consistency by giving me a true purpose for health stewardship. Romans 12: 1 gives us the purpose:

I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that ye
present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable unto God,
which is your reasonable service.

Why Mindset Matters More Than Motivation
Motivation fades. Willpower breaks. But a renewed mind is rooted in truth and guided by the Holy Spirit. When your health goals become an act of stewardship rather than a punishment or a striving, you step onto a grace-filled pathway toward restoration.

God never intended for women to live exhausted, burdened, inflamed, or overwhelmed yoke. Those patterns come from the American society, not His. The world teaches quick fixes, self-neglect, extremes, and shame. But God teaches stewardship, moderation, wisdom, and peace.

Misaligned Thinking That Hinders Health
Over the past 100 years, our minds have been molded into the American way of health, along with some beliefs that quietly sabotage a homemaker's wellness. Have you heard or said any of these?

  • “I don’t have time to take care of myself.” As a Christian, we are telling God that his dwelling place isn't significant enough to care for. That other things in your life come before him, and the tool he uses to minister to others.
  • “Everyone else’s needs come before mine.” This is typical of many parents; however, it teaches our children to be selfish, to not wait their turn, and to learn to support others' needs in the family.
  • “It's too expensive to eat healthy.”  - You'll pay now (for healthy food) or pay later (with a life at the doctor, medicine, side effects, feeling miserable, and missing out on life). The truth is that cheap, processed foods (fake foods) don't nourish and heal cells. They contain chemicals that create cravings, causing you to buy more and eat more.

This isn’t a condemnation, it’s an invitation. When we know better through God’s Word, we do better by His grace.

And be not conformed to this world:
but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind.” Romans 12:2

Presenting Your Body as Worship
Health stewardship is deeply spiritual. Caring for your body is not vanity; it’s obedience.
1 Corinthians 6:19–20 (KJV) reminds us:

“What? Know ye not that your body is the temple of the Holy Ghost...
and ye are not your own?
For ye are bought with a price: therefore glorify God in your body and in your spirit, which are God's.”

The Cost of Neglect—And the Hope of Renewal
When you nourish your body, rest your body, and strengthen your body, you honor God’s dwelling place.
Neglect doesn’t show up all at once. It’s the slow accumulation of stress, inflammation, and emotional weight.
But God offers a reset—a renewing of mind, rhythms, and routines.

Practical Ways to Begin Renewing Your Mind
  • Meditate on Romans 12:1–2 throughout the week.
  • Write down one lie you’ve believed and replace it with God’s truth.
  • Practice gratitude each evening; thank God for one way your body served you today.
A Prayer for Renewed Health
“Father, renew my mind so that my body and habits may follow Your truth. Teach me to see health as worship, stewardship, and obedience. Remove lies, replace them with truth, and help me present my body as a living sacrifice, holy and acceptable unto You. In Jesus’ name, Amen.”

Set a goal in 2026 to let God renew your perspective on health, because renewed health always begins with a renewed mind.

Hello, I'm Dana!

If I had known the truth about the toxic carcinogens lurking in the foods, cleaning products, personal care items, and laundry products I was buying, I would have done more to preserve my health! Like most Americans, I had NO CLUE; there were toxins in them that were DESTROYING my body.

Since 2013, when my journey back to wellness began, I have spent loads of money (because insurance doesn't cover WELL care) and hours learning what the root cause of my chronic pain, fatigue, dense brain fog, and lethargy was.

After four years of researching and experimenting with different so-called "natural or green" products, and re-learning how to shop, read labels, cook, and clean, my struggle to find safe, plant-based products was complete. I easily began transforming my home into a safe environment that no longer created health problems. I have now replaced all of my medications with plant-based foods and products that work wonderfully without the side effects!!

Are you struggling to find real relief for your symptoms, too? Do you desire to see the health God designed you to have? Would you enjoy a community of wellness-seeking people to help educate you, share experiences, and offer some great tips?

I'm confident this is what you're searching for, too. Let me invite you to join my educational group, Biblical Health for Christ-Centered Homemakers. Want to chat more about your journey to wellness and how you can help your family, too? Click below to contact me now!
