Uncovering the Big FAT Myth
Do you remember in the 80’s and 90’s when we were told that eating fat was the reason people were fat? Butter was blamed. Eggs were questioned. Full-fat foods were pushed aside for low-fat, fat-free, and highly processed substitutes.

Sadly, the consequence was that people did not lose weight. In many cases, they got sicker, more inflamed, more tired, and more frustrated.

So, Where Did this Myth Come From?

Back in the mid-1900s, a theory began to spread that dietary fat, especially saturated fat, was the main cause of heart disease and weight gain. By the 1970s and 80s, low-fat eating became the standard advice.

Food companies responded quickly. They removed fat from foods, but to make those foods taste good again, by adding inflammatory ingredients like sugar, refined starches, and chemical fillers. The result was a flood of products labeled healthy, but they often left people hungry, craving more, and stuck in a cycle of overeating.

Fun Fat Fact

The brain of a developing baby is formed by 31 days after conception. Proper brain development depends on a diet of fats, protein, complex carbohydrates, vitamins, and minerals. Because the brain is more than 60% fat, fat is extremely important for growing and maintaining a healthy brain.

Healthy fat supports your:
  • Brain function
  • Hormone production
  • Nervous system
  • Cellular health
And it’s necessary to absorb vitamins A, D, E, and K. It also helps keep you full longer, which reduces constant snacking and energy crashes.

Symptoms of Deficiency

As a faithful steward of the body God has given you, learning to identify symptoms of an omega-3 deficiency is an important part of your health legacy. These issues can quietly steal the strength and peace you need to thrive, yet they also serve as a gentle reminder to care for the temple of the Holy Spirit as you seek to prosper and be in health.

  • Leaky Gut
  • Water retention
  • Skin issues
  • Low energy
  • Hig triglycerides
  • Tingling in arms and legs
  • Insulin resistance
  • Depression
  • High blood pressure
  • Allergies
  • Low Metabolism
  • Low Thyroid
  • Low Adrenal
  • Sticky blood
  • Poor vision

So What’s the Solution?

Part of being a good steward of your body is a basic knowledge of human physiology and nutrition. Proverbs 14:15 "The simple believeth every word: but the prudent man looketh well to his going."

Besides identifying symptoms, knowing your blood levels is equally important knowledge for dietary and supplement changes. An Omega-3 and Omega-6 Fatty Acids test can be helpful in the assessment and management of the following conditions or diseases:

Cardiovascular Disease: Imbalances in omega-3 and omega-6 fatty acids have been linked to an increased risk of cardiovascular disease, including coronary artery disease and hypertension.

Inflammatory Conditions: Chronic inflammatory conditions, such as rheumatoid arthritis or inflammatory bowel disease, may benefit from understanding the fatty acid profiles and ratios, as omega-3 fatty acids possess anti-inflammatory properties.

Nutritional Deficiencies or Imbalances: Individuals with specific dietary patterns or those at risk of malnutrition may require assessment of their omega-3 and omega-6 fatty acid levels to address deficiencies or imbalances.

Here's the Lab Test I recommend at 72% off clinic pricing. Use the Find a Lab tab for a location near you.

Start choosing real, God-made foods. Include healthy fats such as avocado, olives, coconut, nuts, Flaxseed, chia, fish seeds, butter from high-quality sources, and eggs.

Pair those fats with grass-fed protein and fiber-rich foods to help keep your body satisfied and steady. Instead of fearing fat, fear the low-fat and processed, fake foods, and begin supporting your metabolism with nourishment your cells can actually use.

Hello, I'm Dana!

If I had known the truth about the toxic carcinogens lurking in the foods, cleaning products, personal care items, and laundry products I was buying, I would have done more to preserve my health! Like most Americans, I had NO CLUE; there were toxins in them that were DESTROYING my body.

Since 2013, when my journey back to wellness began, I have spent loads of money (because insurance doesn't cover WELL care) and hours learning what the root cause of my chronic pain, fatigue, dense brain fog, and lethargy was.

After four years of researching and experimenting with different so-called "natural or green" products, and re-learning how to shop, read labels, cook, and clean, my struggle to find safe, plant-based products was complete. I easily began transforming my home into a safe environment that no longer created health problems. I have now replaced all of my medications with plant-based foods and products that work wonderfully without the side effects!!

Are you struggling to find real relief for your symptoms, too? Do you desire to see the health God designed you to have? Would you enjoy a community of wellness-seeking people to help educate you, share experiences, and offer some great tips?

I'm confident this is what you're searching for, too. Let me invite you to join my educational group, Biblical Health for Christ-Centered Homemakers. Want to chat more about your journey to wellness and how you can help your family, too? Click below to contact me now!
